Each year, Community Focus Federal Credit Union proudly supports local educators through our Cash for Class grants, available to teachers in K-12 Downriver school districts.
Over time, these grants have helped enhance school libraries with new books, provided supplies for various learning areas, sponsored exciting field trips, equipped classrooms with listening centers, and so much more. We're dedicated to helping teachers achieve their goals and bring creative teaching projects to life!
The application window for the 2024 Cash for Class grants is now closed, but don’t worry—details for the 2025 program will be shared this fall. Stay tuned!

The supplies have been great and the students love them. Especially my math manipulatives and timers. The timers help a lot with understanding the concept of time a little better and students love to set the timer for their breaks.

We are so excited about the new seating options and are so thankful we were selected to receive the Cash for Class Grant! I still have a little bit of money and will be purchasing a couple more chairs on wheels!

I am so excited to receive this grant! This project will be so beneficial for my classroom.I have always wanted a classroom set of whiteboards to use daily with my students. Whenever I have the opportunity to use a couple whiteboards in groups or allow students to write on the classroom whiteboard, the student participation in my room increases substantially.

Huron High School
Thank you for awarding my project with the Cash for Class grant! I am excited to order the graphic novels for my library collection. They are the most requested format of books, and we currently only have a handful in the collection. I am looking to make all students readers and the graphic novels are the books students want to read.

Thank you for the grant! With these additional coding robots our Allen Park students will be able to get a more hands-on approach to coding by using them either individually or with partners instead of larger groups as we did before. These coding robots will help kids learn the building blocks of coding that will later help them as they take their coding skills to online programs.
